Joint Disabled Unity Awaz Center in Gokarna, Nepal
– On the joyous occasion of Dashain, the Rotary Club of New York Queens reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to its flagship initiative, “Hope in the Himalayan Heartbeats.”
As part of this noble endeavor, the club successfully distributed essential items to empower children at the Joint Disabled Unity Awaz Center in Gokarna, Nepal, in its ongoing mission to uplift underprivileged and vulnerable children in various communities in the Himalayan region.
In this1st Phase Initiative club have successfully distributed the following items:
– School bags 42
– Note books – 32
– English writing copies – 16 nos ,
– pens – 8 packs
– Badminton set 2 with shuttle cocks 1 pack
– Ludo set – 2
– Carom Board set (32 x32 ) – 1 set
– Body wash soap – 72 pieces
– Detergent Soap- 1 box
– Dishwashing soap- 1 box
– Handwashing Refill (5 liter) – 2 gallon
– Handwashing Jar pump – 3 set
– Harpic for toilet cleaning 5 liter- 2 gallon
– Onion 1 sack 51 kg
– Potato 1 sack 60 kg
– Gas Cylinder- 3 nos
– Big Cooking Pot- 1 nos
– Pressure Cooker 12 liter- 1 nos
